Oak Street Blues span across the genres for some alternative country rock

Yes, that is right I called it alternative, country, rock and I might add even hints of electronic, blues and pop. That is exactly what you get from Southern California band, Oak Street Blues.The band was founded by Chris Hall, and with his 15 year history with several bands from a variety of genres, he brought together his influences to create their own unique sound that reminds me of a cross between Tom Petty and Wilco. The power pop band, The Strive from Kansas City have released an upbeat catchy new tune with Keep Dreaming. We wrote about PALAYE ROYALE last year and simply titled them “The Best Indie Rock Band out Today That You Have to Hear“. Well I am glad to see that they are continuing to get the praise and recognition that they truly deserve. Most recently, PALAYE ROYALE was the only unsigned band to be nominated in the MTV Musical March Madness. That is not where they stopped, they deserve to be at the Top and that is exactly where they are headed. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Empires. From the first time I listened to Empires, I was taken back to the nightlife of the ’90s as I would go club hopping and enjoy grunge, alternative, and mod. It was a time for you to feel the music and literally have it take over you. Empires are an Indie Alternative band from Chicago that do just that. You can’t help but listen to them and be “in the moment”. Fantastic songwriting, blended with grunge vibes, alternative style, and stirring vocals make this band have the winning combination Empires was formed in 2008 and have successfully two full-length albums, two EPs, and one 7″ single.
