the GazettE from JAPAN is our Tuesday Travels Band

Get ready for some great ROCK N ROLL from JAPAN!! Today’s Tuesdays Travels takes us to a band that started back in 2002 in Kanagawa, Japan. The GazettE is described as visual kei rock which has been characterized by the use of varying levels of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics.  Well whatever it is I really LOVE the sound of The GazettE.  They will be releasing a  new single, “Fadeless” on August 21st and a new album sometime in October. Fates Warning announce new album title, artwork, release date and tour!

  Fates Warning announces a new album “Darkness in a Different Light” which is set to release on October 1st, 2013. Here is the cover art for the new album by the US Progressive Metal band, It has been almost 10 years sine we last heard from Fates Warning with their release of “FWX“.  FATES WARNING vocalist Ray Alder checked in with a comment as follows: “Darkness in a Different Light” is the result of almost two years of very hard work from everyone in the band.  I believe that this line-up is the best that Fates has ever had, and I also think that it comes through in the music on this album. Peter London new CD “America” helps Pets in Need

Our very own San Francisco favorite singer/songrwriter Peter London has a new CD coming out that I wanted to tell you more about.  Peter is an avid animal lover and is using his gift of music to raise awareness and funds for a refuge animal center.  He has such a great heart and I look for all of us to join in and help support the no-kill animal shelters.  First I want you to check out an acoustic version of one of my all time Peter London favorites: Run Away. Track listing for Alter Bridge new album “Fortress”

I have been waiting for the new Alter Bridge album!! The new album titled “‘Fortress” is set to be released on September 30th in the UK, October 1st in Italy and October 8th in the United States.  Hey I may have to fly to London for my copy early! It was reported on the TheAlterBridgeNation.com website that their single, “Addicted to Pain” will be released on August 20th. If you can’t wait until then, the single will be premiered on BanditRock on August 12th. A Story Beneath releases new video for “All in My Head”

One of my favorite bands that I told you about in a post back in May  that includes an interview with Phil Goff, has recently released a video for their kick ass song, “All in  My Head” which is from their new EP Beneath the Skin, and you can check it out here: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmRx-gQUL34&feature=youtu.be] A Story Beneath is an incredible band from Santa Clarita, California. Phil Goff is on Guitar and Vocals, Toddy Libby on Bass and Keys, and Markus Flick on drums. These three guys come together with driving rhythms, melodic chords blended with some powerful rock reminiscent of Silverchair, early Tool and Incubus but they definitely have a sound of their own.  Once you start listening to them, believe me, you might not stop.
