AFI share new song/video for “On Your Back”

June 15, 2021

AFI has released its 11th studio record “Bodies” last Friday via Rise Records. The band also shared a video for “On Your Back”, which was filmed during the recording of their BBC Radio 1 session and aired last night on Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter. Check it out: “We are thrilled to finally see the release of Bodies,” says AFI’s Davey Havok. “For so long, we’ve wanted this record to be yours. Now it is.” Last month, the band unveiled The Ritual Collection, a new line of merch that can be found exclusively in The Bodies Experience. This includes a special deck of oracle cards (with one card for each song), soy prayer candles and incense — all fitting counterparts to the dark and brooding new track “Tied To A Tree.” The artwork for the “Tied To A Tree” visualizer is based on the art found on the oracle card deck. The Ritual Collection is now joined by The Bath Collection and The Travel Collection — find more information about each collection [Read More]

The Bots announce first full-length album in seven years

June 10, 2021

Big Indie Records and rock band The Bots are excited to announce the Friday, September 8 release of “2 Seater”, the LA-based outfit’s first full-length offering in seven years. Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Adrian Quesada of Black Pumas, “2 Seater” is the brainchild of musician Mikaiah Lei and is a multi-style body of work that captures the struggles of his young adulthood. Each of the 10 tracks that make up “2 Seater” were written between the ages of 19 and 22 when Lei was undergoing a rapid burst of self-growth. Now, as a 28-year-old, Lei has rewritten and recorded those songs to articulate themes he struggled to find words for back then: the ups and downs of young love, the need to nurture friendships, and the sentimental work of taking care of yourself each day. Inspired by the old expression “I’ll believe it when I see it”, the album’s lead single, “See It”, boasts an unruly guitar line that makes it feel like the song is being played while barreling down the highway at [Read More]

Press to MECO release video for their new single “Gold”

May 19, 2021

Press to MECO have dropped a brand new video for their single “Gold”, a track laden with emphatic guitar riffs that show the bands technical musicianship. The single, taken from the bands third studio album Transmute, is a song that battles the immensity of modern life and our inabilities to switch off and take care of ourselves. The scuzzy track screams for attention and beats down your ears; a heavy stand out on the upcoming album due August 20th. Talking about the track, Drummer/Lyricist Lewis Williams comments: “’Gold’ talks about feeling overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information and input we receive in modern life and the idea that it might be devolving us in some ways. The battle between wanting to switch off from things to help your mental health but also not wanting to be ignorant to what’s going on in the world and not wanting to feel like you aren’t contributing in any positive way. Gold is also about the feeling of being paralysed and not wanting to create or say anything meaningful when there’s already a million ideas, [Read More]
