Red Tide Rising set to play at Full Throttle Saloon on August 5th with Sevendust and Crobot!

July 27, 2016

Red Tide Rising which formed in 2007 when the members were still in junior high, has really proven that their hard work and determination has taken them to new levels. Their album The Rising might have had them break new ground but their latest release, Voices has given them the attention that they truly deserve. The EP is produced & co-written by Drowning Pool drummer Mike Luce (with the exception of “You’re Nothing” which was co-written with Luce and Ill Nino guitarist Ahrue Luster). Frontman Matthew Whiteman comments,  “Voices consists of the best music we have created as a band. We did so many different things in the studio that altered the RTR sound this time around. One of them was the vocal effects. We were able to capture a very heavy machine like vocal tone that adds another layer to the sound.”  Red Tide Rising are setting out on tour with Sevendust and Crobot. Rest in Peace Al Fletcher, drummer of Die So Fluid

July 26, 2016

Alastair Fletcher Oct 14 1970 – July 25 2016   We are very sorry to share the sad news of the passing of Alastair Fletcher, drummer for Die So Fluid. Al was an amazing drummer who we had the pleasure of meeting last year when they performed at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. It is heartbreaking and we would like to express our deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans.  Die So Fluid posted the following on their Facebook earlier today: Al was such a powerful drummer and although he was quite in our interview, he had a great sense of humor and a charming personality. You can check out our interview from their show last near in San Francisco at DNA Lounge.     ~ Marisol Information & Links: Website: http://www.diesofluid.net/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DieSoFluid Twitter: https://twitter.com/diesofluid Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/drongodrew Here is a little clip from their SF show:

Check out our Spotlight Band, rockers Riviera and their new video for Dead Space

July 25, 2016

There are so many great bands out there today. I find it quite disappointing when I hear that people can’t find any great rock bands. Honestly, they must be living under a rock to even think that! Today more than ever, music is readily available and a band’s music can be checked out in an instant. Allow me to introduce you to a great band which I have been following on Twitter. They are RIVIERA out of West Virginia. They describe their music as Mo-Town Rock n Roll. When you take a listen you can hear influences from bands such as New Found Glory, State Champs, The Story So Far, to name a few. You can’t help but find yourself drawn to their vibrant music. What you get is high energy rock with hints of pop punk and a side of classic rock. They are great, and we hope you get a chance to check them out. They have recently released a music video for their track, Dead Space. It starts right off with some kick [Read More]

Toad the Wet Sprocket returns to the Fillmore in the SF to a packed venue!

July 25, 2016

We trekked out to San Francisco Saturday evening to catch Toad the Wet Sprocket perform at the legendary Fillmore. Toad are currently out on tour in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their “Fear” album, one of my favorites. The crowd arrived early and the venue was soon packed to near capacity. The night featured sets by Luke Wade and Rusted Root.  We also might add that we had the opportunity to catch San Francisco band Gutter Swan perform in the Poster Room upstairs in between sets. This acoustic duo was a highlight for us, as they captured our attention with their engaging sets of familiar songs that now held their personal style. Pop/Folk Singer/Songwriter Luke Wade took to the stage and from the start, his compelling vocals insured everyone was going to have a great time. Rusted Root ignited the crowd with their high energy set that brings to life a fusion of music of, rock, blues, world and much more. Their set so easily invites the crowd to dance along and feel [Read More]

Shallow Side gives us our fix of Southern Hard Rock with their new video for Rebel

July 25, 2016

Shallow Side out of Alabama are ready to give us our fix of Southern hard rock with their new video for the bad ass track, Rebel. It is the first single off their upcoming debut album, ONE. The video was directed by Jim Foster at Red 13 Media and was filmed in their hometown of Cullman, Alabama. Vocalist Eric Boatright, comments, Rock-N-Roll has always had a place in the south. Now it has new faces. It has a new heartbeat. It’s more alive today than it’s ever been. With a New attitude and a fresh new look we will change the way people view American Rock-N-Roll. Like Rebels. Check out the new video here: This is one hard ass working band as they have quite a share of challenges and hardships. But the passion has always been deep in their heart and they have persevered through it all. Eric comments, “We’ve been through the ringer, no one can say we haven’t paid our dues. We’ve been stranded without a pot to piss in promised tomorrow [Read More]
