Mondays can always be a challenge but if you crank up loud the new Swanky Tiger EP, I assure you, your mood will be lifted. Swanky Tiger have just released their 4 song EP, Mechanical Nightmares. Non-stop rockers Modern Kicks release new video for Guitars and Girls

Our Spotlight is shining bright on one of our favorite bands; Modern Kicks.  These Bay Area rockers continue to garner high praise for delivering nonstop rock n roll, reminiscent of  70’s punk/rock era.  They are exactly what we have all been missing from the music scene. Straight up rock with punk rock edge and an attitude that doesn’t quit. They are in no way imitating an old sound, they have worked to create their own signature sound and we are hooked! They are gearing up for an album release and to get you revved up, they have released a music video for their kick ass track, Guitars and Girls. Check out The Nearly Deads for some grunge inspired high-energy rock

  For our next Spotlight Band, we would like to feature a band that brings out their unique style of grunge inspired rock. They are The Nearly Deads from Nashville. Interview with Justin of Blue October ahead of their stellar performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco

  Earlier this week we headed to the legendary Fillmore as Blue October brought the Heart Go Bang Tour to San Francisco. We have impatiently waited for this date to arrive. See, Blue October was not just another band for us to cover, they are a band that had provided the playlist to my life’s ups and downs for the past 20 years. Most recently in March, during my Mother’s hospice care at home, she would lay next to me and listen to Blue October, nearly silent for days, yet show would respond and tell me she liked the songs. Her favorite during that time, The Feel Again, (Stay).  What a heavy song and yet, I truly clutched to those words… Stay… selfishly I wanted more time with her.  After she passed away, I could feel the dark depression setting in as it had with my Father 5 years earlier. For our next Spotlight Band, we would like to feature a band that is bringing back the feel good rock of the 70’s. Colossal Street Jam from New Jersey have released an 11 track LP, Living Free that will have you hooked from the first listen. It is a great heaping dose of 70’s inspired classic rock, full of great melodies, infectious vocals and feel good rock vibes. They comment about their music, At the end of the day, no matter what is going on, we did this for us. In the old days, we did this to be famous, to make money, and to be rock stars.     For our Spotlight Band, we feature the UK rising band Sundara Karma. When we first heard them, we were fully captivated by their magnetic alt-rock sound. We were hooked from the first listen and still can’t get enough of them. They have continued to get increased airplay and now they are definitely no secret. Everyone is talking about this band!
