One thing about NAMM is that we not only get to see all the new products and features on display but we get to run into our favorite musicians. This year we got the chance to chat with Justin Emord of Love and .38. He was busy this year visiting many of his sponsors as well as doing a signing at Rock n Roll Industries. He told us all about the new addition of Diablo. Check out the interview here:   Make sure to visit their social media sites so you can stay up to date on all their news. Quick chat with Archie Cruz of Santa Cruz at NAMM 2015

February 4, 2015

NAMM 2015 was crazy this year. We ran into so many great bands, colleagues and friends and it was awesome to see how they are keeping music alive and thriving.  We had a chance to catch up with Archie Cruz, vocalist for the kick ass rockers Santa Cruz from Finland.  Santa Cruz came out to the States and played in New York and Hollywood in December. They have a lot of great things in store for 2015 and get ready for them to dominate this year with their ROCK N ROLL! Check out our chat with Archie here: It was awesome to introduce Archie to a couple of the guys from Faith and Bullets whom covered Santa Cruz’s song, Nothing Compares To You last year. In  case you missed our earlier interview from last year, you can check it out here: We are so excited to hear that Santa Cruz will be making it back to the States for a full tour. Hell yeah! We need more straight up rock n roll and these guys [Read More]

Interview with NiteRain on the Sunset Strip during their debut trip to America

January 31, 2015

It was in 2013 when we first introduced you to NiteRain as one of Tuesdays Travels features.   Here is an excerpt from that post: “This week, I have incredible ’80s inspired rock band from Oslo, Norway as our Tuesdays Travels Pick.  They are NiteRain and they have an amazing sound. Their music reminds me of catching early Motley Crue out on the Sunset Strip in the ’80s.  Early Vince Neil style vocals, Kick ass guitar riffs, slamming bass and energetic drums. Together you have the intense rock n roll of NiteRain.” NiteRain is Adrien Persen on Guitar, Sebastian Tvedtnaes on Vocals, Morten Garberg on Drums and Frank Karlsen on Bass. They have been known to have explosive stage presence and deliver high velocity sleaze rock. These guys are definitely in the running to take over the glam sleaze rock scene! They have had great success in touring with L.A. Guns across Europe and we hope they come out here to the US soon. Their glam infused rock is just as contagious as their fierce energy and is [Read More]

Interview with Tom Keifer featuring photos from his show at the Whisky-a-GoGo

November 6, 2014

Tom Keifer has been quite busy touring in support of his highly acclaimed solo record, The Way Life Goes. If you don’t already have it, do yourself a big favor and pick it up. It is filled with rockin tracks featuring his beloved signature vocals and emotionally driven lyrics. It truly takes you on a musical journey highlighting emotions and heart felt songs while satisfying your need for rock. Tom recently played at the Whisky a GoGo in Hollywood last month. This was a show that we had anticipated for months and were so excited for. Unfortunately, with my mother’s health taking a bit of quick turn, we stayed close to home. Our colleague Linda Emord of Eye Shutter 4 U made it out to the show and check out her photos from his spectacular set: We had the chance to interview Tom several days after his show and are pleased to bring that interview to you here: Make sure to check out our interview with Tom from last year shortly after the release of [Read More]

California Breed gave me chills with their straight up ROCKIN set in San Francisco

October 28, 2014

This past weekend I was so glad to make it down to San Francisco for the Alter Bridge show at The Warfield. I have been counting the days and especially because the bill was complete with three bad ass bands! In addition to Like A Storm, we were ecstatic to finally catch a live set of California Breed, the latest project of legendary Glenn Hughes and the young extremely talented guitarist Andrew Watt. We weren’t able to catch the bad ass drumming of newly announced (live performance) drummer, ex Queens of the Stone Age/ Eagles of Death Metal Joey Castillo as he was committed to another show date but none the less, it was fantastic! The music that the three created was a larger than life sound that is a must to see live. The intensity and passion that each bring to the stage is mesmerizing. Glenn’s vocals literally gave me chills. He has one of those voices that can sing a page out of the phonebook and have it sound as sweet as molasses. [Read More]
