For today’s Tuesdays Travels, I didn’t travel far to bring you some over the top Hard Rock/Glam Rock. From Montreal, Canada, I want to introduce you to RUSTED! If you thought that only 80’s bands brought you heavy guitar riffs, pounding drums, power vocals and catchy choruses, the complete rock look, you are mistaken. RUSTED has everything you want in bad ass rock and roll band and their music will have you quickly hooked. Killin Theory delivers progressive instrumental for Tuesdays Travels!

Killin Theory This Tuesday I want to treat you to something special. I look outside and the leaves are starting to change colors, it is a very muggy/hazy day. I need some special music to make this a great day…. Well for Tuesdays Travels, let’s head out to Qazvin, Iran and introduce you to Killin Theory for some intense progressive instrumental. Killin Theory is three guys, Richie, Donnie and Dave who started their band 4 years ago and together have written over 85 songs! They are currently ranked No. 1 in Iran for Prog/Rock/Instrumental and that is no surprise, after you take a listen to their song, “Roll on Journey” which they just released on July 30th. BrainStorm (Prata Vetra) from Latvia is our Tuesdays Travel band to check out!

BrainStorm I am sure you thought it was getting late and I was not going to give you my Tusdays Travel band to check out…. Well I might be late due to recuperating from the car accident over the weekend but I didn’t want you to miss this band!! Straight from Jelgava, Latvia is a fun alternative rock band, BrainStorm (Latvian: Prāta Vētra) that you have to take a listen to. Definitely not a new band. This band is a strong group of friends who had a dream to play music and in 1989 set out to conquer the hearts of music lovers. Their music which has sounds reminiscent of Parlotones, ColdPlay, even U2, but yet they have something so new and fresh to them that I just can’t put my finger on. They have catchy melody fused with passionate vocals and an energetic sound that becomes infectious. Get ready for some great ROCK N ROLL from JAPAN!! Today’s Tuesdays Travels takes us to a band that started back in 2002 in Kanagawa, Japan. The GazettE is described as visual kei rock which has been characterized by the use of varying levels of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics. Well whatever it is I really LOVE the sound of The GazettE. They will be releasing a new single, “Fadeless” on August 21st and a new album sometime in October. Check out a video for their song, Remember the Urge: The GazettE features the vocals and rhythm guitar of Ruki (ルキ), guitar by Uruha (麗), acoustic guitar and backing vocals by Aoi (葵), bass and piano by Reita (れいた) and drums and backing vocals by Kai (戒). Our new Tuesdays Travels takes us to Sweden for some ROCK!

Let’s take a trip to Sweden for our Tuesday Travels. When you think of Sweden you may think of Swedish Meatballs, Ikea furniture, Swedish Fish and even CrashDiet for your Rock n Roll which KICK ASS! Now I have a new band to introduce you to. Is The Last Band and they are delivering “High Class, White Trash, Steamroller Rock”. Started in 2011 and rapidly growing, in 2012 they put out their EP “Mean Machine”. They continued to rock the venues and recently they played the Sweden Rock Festival and had everyone fall in love with them. Who is The Last Band? You have Chris Blood on Vocals/Guitar, Nick Young on Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, Johan “Jack Hammer” on Drums and Dennis “Pumping Iron” Andersson on Bass/Backing Vocals. Tuesday Travels takes you to Greece for Daylight Misery

Opa! Opa! For today’s Tuesday Travels, I take you to a wonderful land of incredible coastlines, stunning architecture, home of my favorite foods; feta, spanakopita and baklava. Emerging from this far away land is an incredible dark metal band, Daylight Misery. Daylight Misery is Vassilis Mazaris on Vocals, Stamos Kordas and Vassilis Batilas on Guitars, Giannis Filippaios on Drums, and Q_Snc on Keyboards (Session). These guys are currently working on their new album, “The Great Absence” which is slated for a Fall release date through I for an I Records.
