Oak Street Blues span across the genres for some alternative country rock

Yes, that is right I called it alternative, country, rock and I might add even hints of electronic, blues and pop. That is exactly what you get from Southern California band, Oak Street Blues.The band was founded by Chris Hall, and with his 15 year history with several bands from a variety of genres, he brought together his influences to create their own unique sound that reminds me of a cross between Tom Petty and Wilco. Oak Street Blues is Chris Hall on Lead Guitar/Singer, Stephanie Sheer on Keyboards/Vocals, Jenny Arias on Bass and Alejandra Arellano on Drums. Catch You Me At Six on their headlining North America tour!

British Rock group, You Me At Six have had quite a success here in the United States and they will continue to gain the well deserved attention as they are set to start their North America headlining tour. The tour will kick off on April 21st at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. I will list tour dates below because you don’t want to miss them when they come through your town. We have really enjoying their new single, “Room To Breathe” which has been getting a tremendous amount of radio airplay and has even hit the XM Octane channel. Lost in Los Angeles (LiLA) are set to release their full length album Love is Fate this Summer. The cover artwork by Garrett Wasserman (aka, PEOPLE) is the first foray into a story that will unfold further this spring, culminating in the cover for LiLA’s highly anticipated Love Is Fate LP. The first single released off the new album is Cloud City and is available now on Itunes, Amazon, as well as a variety of other online retail outlets. DORYDRIVE’s new album Here’s To You is addictive!!

I have to share a secret with you…. I am addicted to the new album “Here’s To You” by DoryDrive and I mean addicted! DoryDrive is an alternative rock/ pop rock band from Nashville and they have released their full length album earlier this year. It is definitely making an impact. DoryDrive is Mathieu Nevitt on Vocals, Tom LaBrosse on Guitar, Henry Koller on Guitar, Nick Mendini on Bass and Joey Zak on Drums. As soon as you take a first listen, starting with Radiate you can’t help but be captivated by the infectious vocals of Mathieu Nevitt. He almost reminds me of my fave vocalist, Myles Kennedy. It is awesome to hear fresh new music that immediately grabs your attention and then continues on with the next song. Paramour has emotionally driven lyrics that ring through passionate vocals and catchy melodic hooks. This band definitely delivers a complete package and holds nothing back in their delivery. The Amatory Murder from Brooklyn, New York has been categorized as a Synth or Goth Rock Band. Many years ago, before the many classifications and genre borders, The Amatory Murder would have been just called Alternative or Modern Rock. Correction…. An awesome Alternative/Modern Rock Band. Just yesterday, we announced that the Marmozets were added to the 2014 Vans Warped Tour lineup. We are excited to catch them out on tour since they have been one of our MUST SEE LIST! This young band out of Britain have been busy making a name for themselves here in the States. We first heard of them when they were played on XM Sirius Octane channel last year and we had to look them up. They are known for their rockin alternative math elements in their songs. They are intense and delivering an exciting new sound that you will have to hear.
