Cryptopsy in Berkeley: A night of Rage, Stage Diving and Death Metal Fury

Cryptopsy’s night of brutality kicked off with a fierce lineup of openers that each brought their own flavor to the chaos. First up was Blood Monolith, who wasted no time setting the tone for the night with an all-out death metal assault. Their drummer was absolutely insane, unleashing relentless blast beats that felt like they might shake the room apart. From the opening moments, they came out with one mission: get the crowd fired up and ready for what was ahead. Next up was Spirit Adrift, bringing a completely different vibe to the evening. Their mix of stoner and doom metal added diversity to the lineup and gave the crowd a chance to settle into a heavier groove. Billy Raffoul announces dates for the I Wish You Were Here Tour

We were first introduced to Billy Raffoul at BottleRock 2018 and we have been hooked on his soulful gritty vocals ever since. We were able to catch him opening for bands on their stops in San Francisco. We are excited to share that Billy Raffoul will be returning to the Bay Area out on his own tour. He has announced fall dates for the I Wish You Were Here Tour. The tour is named after his latest EP which was released earlier this year. You can check it out HERE. From the Canadian city of Oakville, Seaway made their way in a van stopping along the way to make their punk rock presence know where they go. Their energetic beats and rythmes remind you of the older bands of Weezer and Third Eye Blind but to your surprise they make it their own and own it. With their just release album, Vacation, out in stores they were sure to not disappoint. And being in Berkeley where everyone know of Green Day, Seaway wants to keep the Punk/Rock anthem doing strong. Their catchy tunes of “Something Wonderful and “Lula on the Beach” got the crowd singing and festive while being those songs that replay in your head.
