Papa Roach cancels South American tour due to Jacoby’s strained vocal chords

August 7, 2013

Vocal issues have plagued lead singer Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach for some time now. It was last year that he spoke about a node forming on his vocal chord and which eventually led him to  have surgery. He successfully recovered from that surgery and has gone on to kick ass at shows with his incredible voice. He truly is one of my favorite vocalists! Papa Roach just released a statement announcing suspension of their South American tour dates due to Jacoby Shaddix’s strained vocal chords. Here is the post from their Facebook page: “To our fans in South America, we are sorry to say our tour is canceled. Jacoby is having vocal issues, and has been ordered to rest. We will be rescheduling the tour for next year. – Jerry” It was not long for fans to show their shock, support and even some quite rude and irrational comments that led to Jacoby himself adding this post: “TO ALL THE SOUTH AMERICAN FANS……. I write this with a heavy heart. I have read a [Read More]

Most anticipated CD Release, Sway by Blue October

July 25, 2013

With less than a month away, I am having a hard time containing my excitement for what is my most anticipated album release. Their seventh studio album “Sway” by Blue October is set to release on August 20th and it is definitely one I have been anxiously waiting for.  I have been a long time lover of Blue October and their emotionally driven music that truly has a life of its own. Their music has been there for me in my darkest times as well as my most celebrated moments. They are like that true friend that is always there for you; whether it is to ride out the storms or admire the beauty of the rainbows.  You can’t call us fans of their music, because once you fall in love with their music, you become a family.  I can’t tell you how  many times I have heard from people about how Blue October changed their lives, helped them through their deepest struggles, kept them going and inspired them to be a better person.  I [Read More]
