Jane Leo delivers high energy alt-pop set at August Hall

We first introduced you to Jane Leo last fall as they opened for Cannons in Oakland at the Fox Theater. In addition to them performing on the Truly Stage at BottleRock Napa this past weekend, they returned to open for Cannons at the August Hall. The sold out show had Jane Leo as the opener, yet they delivered a performance worthy of a headliner. The crowd instantly fell in love with the alt-pop duo. The Scarlet Opera tops our BottleRock Napa 2024 highlight list

Every year BottleRock brings us that one band that stands out from all the rest and arrives at the top of our highlight list. This year the honors are taken by an up and coming LA rock band, The Scarlet Opera. The band is led by lyricist and frontman Luka Bazulka and and equally talented band members; Colin Kenrick [keyboard], Daniel Zuker [bass], Justin Siegal [drums], and Chance Taylor [guitar]. The Mission takes over Great American Music Hall in San Francisco

Thursday night in San Francisco catching a concert at Great American Music Hall and I felt like I stepped back in time. The Mission made a stop before their Cruel World festival performance to deliver an incredible set in San Francisco. The band (aka Mission U.K.) had the venue packed with long time fans as well a whole new group of young fans. It was a multigenerational experience where parents who grew up with the band are bonding with their children who love the band just as much. Truly creating a unique bond and shared appreciation across generations. Simon Hinkler (guitarist) with Alex Baum (drums) hit the stage after a crowd invigorating set from Nuovo Testamento. Mannequin Pussy delivers powerhouse performance in San Francisco

Mannequin Pussy brought their I Got Heaven Tour to San Francisco for a sold out show at the August Hall. The tour in support of their fourth studio album, I Got Heaven which was released on March 1, 2024 via Epitaph Records. We have been blasting the album for a couple months now and have been so excited for the tour to finally make it to the Bay Area. The night kicked off with an explosive set by Soul Glo. Their music blends hardcore punk and hiphop shining a light on the Black American experience. Their set was absolutely incredible and the crowd reciprocated the intense energy with a massive mosh pit that held strong throughout the set. Rockers Quarters of Change pack the Independent for their Portraits Tour

The Independent was packed last night as alt rockers Quarters of Change brought their Portraits tour to San Francisco. This was one tour we have been anxiously awaiting arrival of. The fans arrived early as the line wrapped around the block ahead of entry. The all ages show filled the venue from front to back. The night kicked off with an energetic set by Bay Area alt/indie band High Sunn. They got the crowd warmed up and dancing in no time. When Quarters of Change arrived on the stage, they were like a shot of adrenaline electrifying the crowd with their high energy performance. All eyes were on the band as they captivated the crowd with their talent and stage presence. They blew us away by playing Tightrope second song in, and it sounded every bit as good as the studio recording, and with extra dose of energy of the live performance took it to the top. Friday April 19th we arrived at August Hall to catch Aidan Bissett – SuperNova: How’s it Gonna End? Tour. The night kicked off with a fun energetic set by Stevie Bill which kept the crowd engaged from the start. The venue’s energy came to a roar as Aidan Bissett hit the stage, crowd cheering and immediately dancing along. The audience was locked onto Aidan as he took control of the stage with his commanding presence. His music is truly an instant mood elevator as you can’t help yourself from allowing it to free your mind and let the music take over. The Mission are returning to San Francisco on May 9th at Great American Music Hall

We are so excited to share that post-punk rockers The Mission are returning to San Francisco as they head out on a West Coast Spring Tour. They will be playing at Great American Music Hall on May 9th and is sure to be a show you won’t want to miss. The show will be the last one right before they play at Pasadena’s annual Cruel World Festival which brings together an amazing lineup of bands; Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Adam Ant, Blondie, Interpol, etc. Vocalist/Guitarist Wayne Hussey comments, “It’s a very eclectic bill… a lot of bands playing that I’d like to see,” he says. “It’s a shame we don’t generally get festival lineups like this in Europe. They tend to be more genre-specific.
