Alkaline Trio share new video for “Break” – new album out NOW!

January 27, 2024

The legendary Alkaline Trio shared another new video yesterday for the single “Break”, just in time for the release of their new record “Blood, Hair And Eyeballs“, which was finally released yesterday via Rise Records. In the course of last week the band around singer Matt Skiba presented their latest single “Bad Time” live at Jimmy Kimmel. “Blood, Hair And Eyeballs” was recorded and produced by Grammy-award-winning producer Cameron Webb at Studio 606 in Northridge, California. It presents Alkaline Trio, which reduced their sound to the skin and bone of their distinctive sonic spirit and brought this dark essence into so far unknown territory. “Blood, Hair And Eyeballs” is not only a dark glowing example of the characteristic mix of ironic-lyrical wit and the bittersweet melodic sensibility of the trio, but also the confluence of endings and beginnings – it’s the first album the band released via the new label Rise Records, but also the last, where long-time band member Derek Grant can be heard, who was part of the band since their classic record [Read More]

Buster shuffle share new video for “Hold Back The Rebels”

January 27, 2024

After the 2022-hit album “Go Steady” London Ska-Pop-punks Buster Shuffle return to the stage and bring a brand-new Buster-hymn with them called “Hold Back The Rebels”. When Jet moved at the end of lockdown, he noticed he had a truly unusual neighbor. In the neighbor’s garden lived a turkey, a very very loud bird (day and night). This noisy meleagridinae (feel free to google it) spoiled a lot of tea times in the garden. Something had to be done, so Jet prepared his beloved cat and his dog (the rebels) for an “attack over the fence”. When his wife found out about it, she intervened last minute and ordered him to hold the rebels back. During the production of the 7-inch-single and the tour no turkeys’ have been and will be harmed. The neighborhood dispute was solved peacefully. Only 500 pieces of “Hold Back The Rebels”, on the b-side there’ll also be a brand-new song “Them Like Thunder”, will be pressed on 7-inch-green vinyl and can only be bought at Buster Shuffle live shows and [Read More]

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts release rockin new single

January 25, 2024

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts are sure to capture your attention with the release of their latest single, Take The Long Way. Check out the news below: “Take the Long Way” is a spirited sing-along rock anthem. It draws inspiration from Smith’s turbulent experience of not only being kicked off the 2021 Motley Crue Stadium tour, but also being dropped from both his label and booking agent amid the COVID era. The track encapsulates the classic self-sabotage meets redemption tale. In true Tuk Smith style, you’re hooked from the first riff. However, “Take the Long Way” is a different beast compared to previous songs; while there are plenty of killer tunes in the back catalogue, this new track exudes a different kind of freshness and eagerness to please. Comparisons to Springsteen and Petty are inevitable when listening to Tuk Smith, but he undoubtedly possesses a toe-tapping quality unlike any other. With this track pumping, you can easily envision yourself in a Dodge Ram, tapping your hands on the steering wheel while driving down the highway and just as easily envision yourself in a suit, humming along while entering an office on the 75th floor. That’s the allure of Tuk; [Read More]

January 24, 2024

Grunge rocker Indio Downey has given us exactly what we need to make it through this week. He released the music video for the title track of his recently released EP, Cigarettes in Bed. Indio shares about the track, “‘Cigarettes in Bed’ is a love song about a previous relationship. When I felt overwhelmed by the weight of the world their company always gave me peace of mind. The visual of smoking cigarettes in bed is a glimpse into a time when being together helped us cope with our loneliness. It was produced by Jordan Miller and Jason Bell. We all took a trip to Hawaii and wrote and recorded the song while we were there. Their touch transformed a simple melody into a dynamic song with tasteful lyrics. It was truly a pleasure working with them!” Check out the video here: The catchy new track has us delving deeper into his EP as we are immediately captivated by his nostalgic yet modern melding of grunge, alternative and punk rock. Midas Fall release new single “Monsters”

January 18, 2024

Midas Fall have shared the 2nd single from their long-awaited fifth studio album, ‘Cold Waves Divide Us’ which is set for release on 8th March 2024 via Monotreme Records. “Monsters” is the second single from “Cold Waves Divide Us”, the fifth studio album from Scottish alt/post/progressive-rock trio Midas Fall. On “Monsters”, the band shows a more contemplative side, with an ethereal intro giving way to gorgeously syncopated guitar and drums. Says Elizabeth Heaton, The monsters I sing about in this song are the intrusive, anxiety ridden thoughts that decide to rear their ugly heads from time to time, especially when you least expect it, just to remind you that you never truly have full control. There is a feeling of defeat and submission in this song, juxtaposed with the idea that the act of writing the words and music itself can be the resolution” The single is accompanied by a video from producer David Gregory of Cineoteric Films, featuring the band members. Describing the approach he took to the video, David recounts, “Liz explained to [Read More]

Neck Deep release self-titled record this week

January 18, 2024

In September 2023 UK-rock band Neck Deep have announced their upcoming self-titled album “Neck Deep”, set for release on January 19, 2024, via Hopeless Records. “We’re so stoked to announce our new self made, self titled record” shares vocalist Ben Barlow. “With a return to roots approach, we made this record ourselves at our warehouse in North Wales, with Seb at the helm, and the rest of us over his shoulder, like it was at the start”. The new album encompasses everything Neck Deep have excelled at across their career, enhanced and dialed to eleven. From the bouncing bombast of “Dumbstruck, Dumbf**k” and the ripping intensity of “Sort Yourself Out”, to the poetic introspection of “They Don’t Mean To (But They Do)”, it’s an album that boasts a song for almost any occasion (including, in recent single “Take Me With You”, the impending alien invasion). In the little over a decade since Neck Deep formed in the Barlow brothers’ spare room in Wrexham, Wales, a lot has changed. From the scrappy, naively hopeful beginnings that [Read More]
