David Christopher is no stranger to the music scene, as he was formerly in a signed metal/punk band. He is now chartering new waters and is set to release his debut EP, Rise of the Underdog. His solo work will feature inspiration from his punk rock roots as well as a strong hip hop influence. He calls his sound, Punk Hop and is ready to tear down the genre walls with his new music. The Dramedy out of Los Angeles truly caught our attention last year. David and Abby blew us away with their music and they are ready to do it again. They recently announced that they will be releasing their new song, What Time Is Life? on a cassette through Wiener Records. We took a listen to the song and are quite impressed with the musicianship that The Dramedy have brought to the table with the track. It is quite a different style than what you might be familiar with of their music, but once you take a listen, you will love it. NOFX kicks off The Hepatits Bathtub Tour in Berkeley and PUNK ROCK is alive and thriving!

For a Tuesday night in Berkeley, it was anything but quiet as NOFX kicked off “The Hepatitis Bathtub Tour”. The tour which coincides with the release of their new book, The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories will be hitting venues across the county. We caught the opening show at the UC Theatre in Berkeley and it was unbelievable! The night kicked off with three fantastic punk rock sets. First up was the punk band from Santa Cruz, Fast Asleep. They kicked the show off with a frenzy of raging punk songs that got the crowd riled up within seconds! They had a thrash metal influence in their punk rock that I loved as well.
