Get ready for the intensity that Holy Mountain brings with their new album

February 20, 2014

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland is a straight up, in your face fuzzy rock band, Holy Mountain that you must take notice of.  Holy Mountain is Andy McGlone on guitars, Pete Flett on drums and Allan Stewart on Bass. These three deliver intensity at it’s peak, with crashing drums, heavy bass and transcending vocals. I wouldn’t want to classify them as any particular genre since they incorporate everything from punk, alternative, heavy rock, metal, bluesy, and so much more and developed their own unique style that is definitely worth a listen. They are currently set to release their full length debut album through Chemikal Underground, Ancient Astronauts which is a follow up to their 2012 mini-album, Earth Measures.  The album is set for an April 7th release and promises to deliver a thundering tour-de-force of monumental guitar, drums and bass and is – let us assure you – the rock album of the year. Check out their song, Gunner from their last album: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=youtu.be/06eddk5ZOrI&feature=youtu.be]   We will continue to keep you updated on the new album. For now, visit [Read More]

Scorpions release acoustic version of “Rock You Like a Hurricane” from MTV Unplugged

February 20, 2014

International legendary rockers, Scorpions recently released the CD/DVD Blue Ray of their MTV Unplugged CD/DVD package. The material is from the Scorpions‘ first-ever  “MTV Unplugged show” and will feature new acoustic versions of their big hits and even five new songs!  The sets were recorded and filmed on September 11th and 12th at Lycabettus Theatre in Athens, Greece. The spectacular open-air theatre, situated 300 meters above the city, was an impressive backdrop for the first-ever open-air show in the history of “MTV Unplugged” (the theatre also shares a birth year with the Scorpionsthemselves, having been built in 1965, the same year the Scorpions formed). The Scorpions is Klaus Meine (vocals/guitar), Rudolf Schenker (guitars/vocals), Matthias Jabs (guitars), Pawel Maciwoda (bass) and James Kottak (drums). Mikael Nord Andersson (guitars, mandolin, lap steel, vocals) and Martin Hansen (guitars, harmonica, vocals) are also providing additonal music support. Today, they have released the video of their acoustic performance of their legendary hit, “Rock You Like a Hurricane” which is spectacular! Check it out here: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=youtu.be/aMI_BGHjPZc&feature=youtu.be]   It really is amazing work and you can’t help but fall [Read More]

Rev Theory is back with a bad ass new song, Red Light Queen

February 19, 2014

It might have been two years since we heard from Rev Theory but their songs have continued to dominate the airwaves. During those two years, members of the band spent some much needed time off from touring, followed their inner compasses to travel and explore the world each fulfilling personal dreams and inner desires. Well, they are definitely back and with a new song that will show everyone they mean business…. STRAIGHT UP ROCK AND ROLL. Their new song, Red Light Queen is amazing from start to finish. It has a Rob Zombiesque intro and comes right off with those robust vocals we have loved from Rich Luzzi. Rich tells us more about the song, “Red Light Queen is three minutes of raw in your face energy about the dark secrets of a society that glamorizes excess to the fullest.” It is definitely high energy, in your face non stop rock. Check out the song here: [soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/135671086″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”false” /]   It is definitely a full out, balls to the wall ROCK song that [Read More]

The Biters release epic party video for So Many Nights

February 19, 2014

It was last year when I first introduced you to the awesome band, Biters. Today they released another video and it is STELLAR!  It is for their song “So Many Nights” which is off of their album, Last of a Dying Breed. The video is once again directed, shot and edited by Rahim. You are going to love this one. Check it out here: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=youtu.be/f22Pl6fX1AE&feature=youtu.be]   When I first heard BITERS, I was literally taken aback with their sound. I couldn’t  help but crank it up louder and lounder and push replay and repeat just so I would be sure that I am hearing correctly. I fell INSTANTLY IN LOVE! It was pure ear porn! As I wrote in my previous post: “My son asked me earlier to check out a band for him. I put it off since I was working and then just as I was about to go to bed, I saw the note scribbled by him…. ‘Check out BITERS – love Hallucination Generation”  So I did decided to look them up.
